Deborah Crawford will join the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as vice chancellor for research beginning August 1.
Crawford currently serves as vice president of research, innovation and economic impact at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the past four years, she has led George Mason’s research enterprise, including the creation of three multidisciplinary research institutes and four university research centers.

Preparing for a Safe Return to Campus

The Office of Research and Engagement has published new guidelines to assist the UT research community as we prepare for a phased-in approach to increasing on-campus research activities.

Sometimes a researcher can search far and wide for the perfect collaborator, only to discover the ideal person in their own academic backyard. That was the case when Jennifer Schweitzer and Wellington Muchero met at an ORE SPARKS event in 2019.

The College of Nursing recently recognized student, faculty, and staff members for their contributions to the College of Nursing. Faculty and staff award recipients were recognized during a virtual meeting, and the student award recipients were recognized during the College of Nursing virtual Commencement ceremony.

As part of the National Science Foundation’s updated guidelines, researchers will be required to use one of two formats for submitting biographical sketches as well as the current and pending support documents, which can be completed on the SciENcv website. These changes go into effect on June 1, 2020.
