|
-
Attend All Classes: Being present from day one helps you understand expectations and stay on track.
- Introduce Yourself: Build relationships with your professors and peers—they're key to your academic success.
- Review Your Syllabus: Note key dates and assignments for every class to avoid surprises.
|

Find a way to connect to the campus community beyond the classroom---this could be a club/organization, IM sports team, or volunteering. You'll do better academically and holistically if you fully immerse yourself as part of the SHU community.
- Build a support network---push yourself to meet classmates, faculty, and staff on campus. Find people who inspire you and intentionally spend time with them.
-
Take breaks; balance is key. Learn to push yourself, but then walk away from your work and do things that bring you joy.
