Current Library Databases
OverDrive
New ebooks are added on OverDrive. Selected course books and test prep materials for CSET and CBEST are available on OverDrive as well. This includes the The Reflective Educator's Guide to Classroom Research (91 digital copies available) for your action research course. Once you login, you can search for the book directly. Select course texts such as this book may also be available on OverDrive. 
SAGE eJournal Collection
In addition to research articles, SAGE also provides important readings in the field of education for professional development learning. See here for basic research videoIf you are conducting a literature review, this is one database to start with! 
EBSCO Discovery Tool
This database is the search engine at the top of Alder's library page. You can find scholarly articles in SAGE and other databases to support your research. Select ebooks are also included in the search. Plase watch this 10 minute video to learn more about the search process and strategy

Writing, Testing Databases, and Resources 
  • Tutor.com - Need help with writing? Tutor.com is a database for all residents who would like to get feedback on their writing and citation support. It is a 24/7 service that residents can meet with a live tutor or submit their papers for feedback. To access this database, visit the library’s page, or your course canvas page or Populi. Have more questions on writing? See this short video for more information
  • Mometrix - Studying for CSET, CBEST or RICA? Check out the Mometrix database to receive online test prep materials and sample questions on these exams. Please note that you must be online to access the materials. The database does not allow users to download or save these files.
