Collegiate Contest entry platform and rules go live today
The 2022 Collegiate Contest rules and digital entry platform will go live later today! The site will accept entries until Friday, Dec. 2.
All editors and advisers will receive an email with log-in credentials for the site and a copy of the rules. Reporters, photographers, designers and other staffers should get the log-in credentials from their editor or adviser.
We'll host a brief Zoom session on Oct. 20 from 2-2:30 p.m. where we'll share an overview of the rules, walk you through a quick demo on how to enter and answer your questions. Let us know if you’d like to attend!

Are you interested in digital collaboration?
At a recent SCPA Collegiate Member Orientation, a couple great ideas were shared on how collegiate members can work together throughout the year, but we need your input before moving forward. Please let us know your thoughts on the following by filling out a brief survey:
- Should SCPA host a monthly virtual Zoom huddle for collegiate editors to get together for informal discussion and idea sharing?
- Should we create a digital platform for collegiate members to collaborate, share and get help (perhaps over Slack, Discord or Google Groups)?

Make sure we have your advertising info correct
Thanks to the several SCPA collegiate members who responded last month when DAODAS was trying to place ads in your newspapers! We loved being able to help spread their important safety message and drive some revenue to your newspaper. If your organization accepts paid print and/or digital advertising, please make sure to send us your rate card or email us the following information:
- for print products: frequency, specs, rates and deadlines
- for digital products: available sizes and rates
- contact info for who on staff handles ad placement (name, email and phone)
