Connect with fellow professionals
Want to pack the most value in during your lunch hour? Our third-annual speed networking lunch will keep you on your toes — at the sound of a buzzer!

Start your year off right, making a crowd of new connections with local professionals and catching up with old ones in a short amount of time. And refresh your headshot for the new year for free with professional photographer Jessica Anzai

Join us on Friday, Jan. 29, for a frenzy of conversation and great food from the guys at The Bitter Alibi. We’re meeting on the fifth floor of the Edney Building in the heart of Chattanooga’s Innovation District. Lunch and free headshot sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m. Snap a photo, eat a bite and get settled in before the chair hopping begins at noon.

Parking is available for $2 in Union Square Garage less than two blocks away directly behind the Chattanooga Public Library. Entrances are on 10th and 11th streets.

Get a recap: Peer Awards Holiday Luncheon
Comedian Deno Posey brought the laughter at the December luncheon with stand-up comedy about everyday life. During the program, Meagan Jolley, Victoria Tropiano and Jim Sabourin were recognized as Peer Awards recipients.
Get Accredited in Public Relations
Four of our Lookout Chapter members accomplished this in 2015, and we'd like to keep that trend going!  For information about how to start on the March to Accreditation, contact APR Chair Greg Rumsey at 423-236-2745 or via email. Plans will be announced later this year for a free prep course to help you make this professional goal a reality.
Revisit your resolutions
It’s the start of a new year, which usually means people make resolutions for the upcoming months. Lose weight. Learn Mandarin. Sleep more. Stress less. Typically the list of resolutions changes from year to year. But have you considered revisiting one you’ve already made?

When you submitted your application to join PRSA, you pledged to adhere to the Code of Ethics, comply with the Bylaws, and do all in your power to maintain and enhance the prestige of the practice of public relations. If it’s been a while since you reviewed this “resolution,” 2016 is a good time to revisit the PRSA Code of Ethics.

If you have questions or want to share an ethical situation – or success – please email Kristiina Braden. If you are preparing for accreditation, ethics and law make up 13 percent of the computer-based APR examination.
