Campus is abuzz with activity and awash in excitement as Carleton's newest students arrive at the start of a busy and rewarding fall term. Summer brought plenty of rewards as well for faculty, staff, students, and alumni, including an NSF grant funding summer student research with professor Kate Meyer '09, a fifth-degree black belt for Carleton's sword-wielding librarian Susan Shirk, and two (!) A worldwide welcome for the Class of 2028
From San Diego to Boston, from China to the Caribbean, the Carleton community welcomed the Class of 2028 and their families this summer with 23 in-person and virtual Summer Send-Offs. A heartbreaking, enthralling journey
This fall, the Carleton Book Club is honored to feature Amanda Peters' novel The Berry Pickers, a poignant and beautifully crafted story that explores family, identity, and the enduring bonds that tie us together. The reading period begins on October 11 and ends on December 13.
In addition to sharing reflections with fellow readers, book club members can participate in a talk with the author on Wednesday, December 4 at 6 pm EDT. Build meaningful relationships with others who share your love for reading!

The celebration of Alumni Association Award recipients and 'C' Club Hall of Fame inductees is a central element of every Reunion. If you wish to nominate a Reunion-year classmate for any of these honors, please read the guidelines and contact your class committee. The nomination deadline is November 15, 2024.

'C' Club board nominations are open
The ‘C’ Club board of directors supports Carleton’s varsity athletic program and selects nominations for induction into the Hall of Fame. Several positions on the board will be coming open in the summer of 2025. To nominate yourself or a fellow alum for one of these positions, fill out the online form.
