America The Beautiful

Message from John

I was about 12-years old when I discovered FM radio.  Every day I heard songs I had never heard before. In the late ‘70’s free form and rock radio stations were playing music from the early ‘60’s through to the new releases of the day. Wide range. I loved it. I couldn’t get enough. I earned money so I could buy a record (lp, vinyl) every week, though that didn’t give me enough time to really soak it in before I bought the next one. My appreciation for every record grew as I listened each time. I looked at the album cover as I listened. Studied every word and photograph. From this I began to recognize names of producers and engineers. I got to know their sound. I bought records based on the cover sometimes. Intuition. Or because of the engineer or producer. This self-education taught me I wanted to become a recording engineer.

Patriotic Pool Party

Home of the Brave Decor

The holidays are a perfect time to add some color and festive decor.  With the 4th's hallmark patriotic red, white and blue, it's simple to acheive the look by just adding a few inexpensive touches without having to break the bank. It can be throwing different patterns together, such as pillows, table linens, or dishes for a fun tablescape, or a colorful blend of fresh seasonal flowers, or even purchasing a few flags to use as a centerpiece (which most dollar stores carry). They make an eye catching statement and splash of color.

Things To Do: 4th of July
