Portsmouth Square Improvement Project

Crews continue demolition and waterproofing work in front of the elevators, and a new walkway to the Washington Street sidewalk has been built.

One or two elevators may close intermittently, but at least one will remain in service at all times while the garage is open. 

施工人員繼續在電梯前方進行拆卸及防水工程，並已增設一條連接華盛頓街人行道的臨時出入斜道。

施工期間，一至兩部電梯可能會間歇性暫停服務，但在停車場開放時間內，將確保至少一部電梯全程維持正常運作。

To create more park space, the park will extend about 8 feet toward Kearny Street above the garage entrance. Crews will build a new support structure around the existing garage entrance and exit.

Temporary lane closures may be needed during demolition and construction, but garage access will remain open. Flaggers will help manage traffic in and out of the garage.

為增加公園空間，位於停車場入口上方的公園範圍將向乾尼街方向延伸約8呎。施工人員將在現有停車場出入口周邊興建新的支撐結構。

拆卸及施工期間，部分行車線可能需要臨時封閉，但停車場出入口會維持開放。現場將安排交通指揮人員，協助車輛安全進出停車場。

Temporary shoring will be installed on Floors 2, 3 and 4 of the garage to support grade beam and trellis work in the park. The shoring is expected to remain through Jan. 24, 2027.

During this period, 80 parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable - 40 each on Floors 3 and 4. Both garage entry lanes will remain open, while the middle exit lane will be temporarily closed. 

為配合公園內的地樑及棚架工程，停車場第2、3及4層將安裝臨時承托結構。相關結構預計將保留至2027年1月24日。

期間將有80個停車位暫時停用，其中第3層及第4層各40個。停車場兩條入口行車線將維持開放，中間一條出口行車線則會暫時關閉。

Sewer line maintenance and replacement work will take place on Walter U. Lum Place. Crews will perform trenching in the roadway to access and replace the sewer line.

Temporary road closures, traffic changes, construction noises and parking restrictions are expected near the work area. The project team aims to minimize disruptions. The west-side sidewalk will remain open and local businesses will remain accessible to pedestrians. 

林華耀街將進行污水管道維修及更換工程。施工人員將在路面開挖溝槽，以進入地下並更換污水管道。

工程範圍附近將實施臨時封路及交通繞行，並或有施工噪音及停車限制。西側人行道將維持開放，沿線商戶照常營業。

The Chinatown Branch Library Renovation Project is expected to begin construction in December 2026. Additional updates will be shared as the project moves into the construction phase.
