Honor Code
The Vanderbilt Honor Code serves as a cornerstone for academic integrity, fostering a culture of honesty and accountability within the university community. It entrusts students with the responsibility to complete their academic work independently, without unauthorized assistance. Upholding the Honor Code not only reinforces ethical values but also cultivates an environment conducive to genuine learning and scholarly excellence. Learn more about the Honor Code in the Student Handbook.

Course Registration
Your Enrollment Services (YES) allows you to explore the class schedule for fall 2026 and to store your class selections in a shopping cart. You will receive registration information from your school in late May or early June that will include the exact dates of your registration windows, information on how to match your class choices to the requirements in your school and how to contact an adviser. This information will either be mailed to your home address or sent to your Vanderbilt email. You may review additional academic resources online.
Visit your school's webpage for additional information regarding course requirements, offerings, support or specifications of course materials, such as computers.

Summer Assignment
All incoming students share a common experience before arriving on campus: completing a summer assignment unique to Vanderbilt that builds empathy, curiosity and powers of communication. Your task is to identify someone in your community you find interesting or inspiring who may have experiences and perspectives different from yours. Conduct an interview and write about what you learned. In June, you will receive a letter from Residential Colleges with detailed instructions and guidance for this assignment. By August 15, you must submit your completed assignment via your Vanderbilt Visions Brightspace course (Available August 1). Your submission will be shared with faculty and your VUceptors. Additional resources are available to support you at vu.edu/summerassignment.
Email summer.assignment@vanderbilt.edu with questions.
