ORE Appoints Faculty Fellows

Holly Mercer and Shawn Campagna were recently appointed as Office of Research and Engagement Faculty Fellows to assist with strategic efforts behind two critical programs within the division: responsible conduct of research and the Science Alliance. They will work closely with Robert Nobles, interim vice chancellor for research, as well as other members of the ORE leadership team, campus administrators, and researchers.

The UT Libraries has been ranked 23rd among public research universities belonging to the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). ARL is a nonprofit organization comprised of 124 major research libraries in the US and Canada. The association publishes statistics annually on the collections and expenditures of member libraries.
Chattanooga renderings
Students in the School of Architecture spent last semester working and collaborating with the Chattanooga Design Studio to generate innovative, practical design solutions to solve some of the city’s issues with structure and community connectivity.

In the past two years, nearly 28 percent of households experienced barriers to veterinary care, according to a national population survey conducted by the Access to Veterinary Care Coalition, working in collaboration with UT's College of Social Work. The report identifies the need for solutions that allow more people to obtain veterinary care.

2019 Community Engagement Incentive Grant Funding

A new call for proposals that specifically enhance the public engagement mission of the university has been issued. Funding is allocated via an annual, competitive award process. This program is primarily directed at faculty-led initiatives, though student involvement is encouraged.

Funding Opportunities

The Faculty Development Team has launched a weekly funding digest featuring information from the NIH Digest, round-ups from the Corporate and Private Foundations Office, limited submissions, and internal opportunities.
Use Pivot to search and save funding opportunities, set up funding alerts, or manage your scholar profile using your UT NetID. Use the Foundation Directory Online to search a database of the 10,000 largest private, community, and corporate foundations in the U.S.
