Junior 2s Class
Our live caterpillars arrived this week, and we've had fun watching them grow! We have a butterfly life cycle model in our science area, and we can't wait to watch our caterpillars turn into butterflies! We painted jumbo bugs and butterflies at the art table. During circle time, we worked on color recognition through a butterfly activity. We sang a silly song about five frogs jumping on the bed and The Itsy Bitsy Spider. When we were outside, we looked for bees and other bugs, too! Click here for our weekly photo show! ❤ Ms. Sheryl & Mr. Ian

Junior 3s Class It was a busy week in the Junior 3s class! We enjoyed starting the week with Chapel time, learning, and playing with our bugs and butterfly theme! In art, we painted a flower garden with butterflies and ladybugs. We introduced and practiced recognizing the letter A and included some shape-recognition games. We started working through progress evaluations with kids this week and are excited to share their growth at our upcoming parent conferences! We were also very sad to say goodbye to our sweet Zoe, who is returning to England with her family. They all will be dearly missed, and we wish them the best. Pre-K Class We continued our trip around the world this week and had a wonderful day celebrating Unicorn Day. Thank you to everyone who dressed up for the fun-filled occasion. We continued learning all about the continents, including a new song on remembering the seven continents. We reviewed how to write the letters A, B, and V and recognize our numbers 1 through 20. This week, we were also introduced to your new class animal, the caterpillar. We will observe it grow through its journey to becoming a butterfly. Next week, we will study Italy and continue reading Llama Llama stories. Click here for our photos. ❤ Ms. Marnie, Ms. Erin, & Ms. Fiona

Kinder Prep Class Kinder Prep had fun this week learning about the butterfly's life cycle. They did some amazing projects using all kinds of art mediums. We couldn’t resist researching and reading about other insects! We practiced our numbers, shapes, and patterns all week long. We reviewed all letters & sounds, with a specific focus on Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, and Hh. We spent time learning and discussing the elements of a story as we read our books. Have a great weekend!
