88.5 WYSU-FM CREATES THE
'NEED TO KNOW NEWS FUND'
TO SUPPORT ITS EXPANDED NEWS AND INFORMATION COVERAGE DURING THE COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Dear WYSU Underwriter:
WYSU-FM, the public radio service of Youngstown State University, is establishing a Need to Know News Fund to help the station continue to deliver enhanced news and information programming throughout the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and beyond.
For over 50 years, WYSU-FM has provided the Mahoning and Shenango valleys with high quality public radio broadcasting, and exceptional community service. However, the financial and funding realities of the current pandemic have made it extremely difficult for the station to continue to deliver the news, information, and music its listeners depend upon. With this in mind, we ask you to provide underwriting support for our new Need to Know News Fund.
The
Need to Know News Fund gives underwriters the opportunity to directly support our recently enhanced news coverage.
In exchange for their support, donors to the fund will be recognized on the air during our news segments, as well as on the WYSU website in a web article about the Fund.
Your sponsorship of the Fund will not only directly support our news programming, but it will also provide your organization with substantial value-added benefits, and distinguish you as a news, public media, and fine arts supporter, who has partnered with a valuable and respected cultural and community resource.
More information about WYSU, our expanded news coverage, and our new
Need To Know News Fund CAN BE FOUND HERE. Please contact us with any additional questions.
To participate in this program, simply contact me to confirm the amount of your underwriting support of the WYSU Need to Know News Fund ($500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or whatever amount works for your organization).
We very much look forward to hearing from you, and to seeing you become a Need to Know News Fund sponsor.
Very truly yours,
