Cleaning up from the Blizzard of 2026 |

Shuttle Service and On-Campus Parking |
Shuttle Service
While the campus is closed for the snow emergency, the Davis Square and SMFA shuttles will not be in service. Visit the live shuttle tracker for the latest shuttle information.
Parking Ban
A snow emergency parking ban will be in effect on the Medford/Somerville campus. If you park on the Medford/Somerville campus, please ensure your vehicle is not parked in any surface lot or on-street parking space during the ban to allow Facilities Services to clear snow. Vehicles left on surface parking lots and on street campus parking spaces are subject to ticketing and towing at the vehicle owner’s expense. You may park in the Dowling Garage. Parking permits are still required during parking bans.
For the latest on-campus parking and transportation information, please visit the Parking & Transportation website.
Somerville, Medford, and Boston all have snow emergency parking bans in place, as well. If you park a car off campus, please follow city parking instructions to help the roads be cleared safely for everyone.
|
Facilities will have crews working to clear the snow from sidewalks and streets on campus. As they do their work, please be particularly careful navigating campus.
If you live off campus, check with your landlord now to determine the plan to have the coming snow cleared from driveways and sidewalks at your home. Somerville, Medford, Boston, and most other cities near Tufts require that either the landlord or tenants clear snow and ice from the public sidewalks in front of their house within several hours of the end of snowfall. Snow and ice should be cleared three feet wide, down to bare pavement. If you are shoveling, check out safety tips from the Mayo Clinic.

More detailed information on weather-related closures and delays will be posted on the following websites:
