Upcoming Retirement of
MCC Program

In the February 8, 2017 eNews:
MCC Retirement
Minnesota Housing launched its Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) program in 2013 in order to utilize expiring bonding authority and offer additional program options to first-time homebuyers. Due to an increase in the demand in the State of Minnesota for allocations of bonding authority, Minnesota Housing no longer has sufficient bonding authority to allocate to the MCC program. Therefore, we will suspend the program upon allocation of the remaining funds, which we anticipate occurring sometime this summer. We plan to announce a program end date at a later date.
We thank our dedicated lending partners for their participation in this program and we encourage you to continue to take advantage of our Start Up program for first-time homebuyers.
