How well do you know Cincinnati?
Join us for the Great Cincy Race, Nov. 14th from 12-4 pm to find out!
The Great Cincy Race is a socially distanced city-wide scavenger-hunt adventure, where teams compete in fun games to earn clues that send them to their next location. Each location is selected to feature a “hidden gem” of Cincinnati -- places that are often overlooked but still help our Queen City's crown shine. The teams that figure out the clues and finish first will win big prizes!

EVENT UPDATES

ONE-STOP DROP

The Oct. 3rd One-Stop Drop recycling event was awesome. Close to 200 people helped us divert more than a 1 TON of trash from the landfill. The new set-up requesting participants to park and sort their recyclables reduced waste and wait times! Also, everyone was able to ask questions and learn more about how they can recycle right. Special thanks to the volunteers, event participants, and our partners Cincinnati Recycle Reuse Hub, Kroger Pharmacy, Rhingeist, PRM Terracycle, and EcoDevelopment.

CORPORATE EVENTS
Corporate team-building events are back!
In October we hosted Barefoot Proximity's Give Back Days. We were able to organize four smaller events of up to 20 people instead of hosting all 80 volunteers at once. Together we planted trees and hydrangeas, cleaned-up neighborhoods, and got community greenspaces ready for winter.

If you’re looking for a fun team-building activity for your workplace contact Megan, our Volunteer Programs Director, to discuss opportunities and safety precautions.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Get ready for some fun, green education! Kara and Rachel have been learning all sorts of new skills to bring entertaining, engaging, and most importantly educational presentations to students’ screens. All of our videos, virtual field trips, and resources are featured on our new KCB Eco-Education website. New videos and resources will be posted monthly. Check out our trailer below to get a taste of what's to come!

COMMUNITY THRIVES CHALLENGE
Thank you to the over 100 donors and volunteers who helped us plant new trees, improve outdoor community spaces, and compete for a USA Today Community Thrives Challenge grant!

Together we raised over $6,500 to make the vision of improved community greenspaces in Camp Washington a reality! Thanks to your donations this spring we will be able to plant more trees, install built features (like benches and signs), and create beautiful areas for people to gather, play, and enjoy.
