You're Invited! Family and Friends Day 2018
On Saturday, Sept. 29, Indiana Tech will hold its sixth annual Family and Friends Day. This is a day our students are able to show their family members and friends the place they call home and invest much time and energy to pursue their education. It is a fun, activity-filled day during Indiana Tech's homecoming weekend that gives family and friends a peak into what it means to be a part of the Warrior family. Everyone is welcome, but we will ask that you preregister for the day by Sept. 19. Some events require preregistration.

Parent resources from the Career Center
Researchers have found that close relationships with family help students adjust to college life, make effective career and relationship choices and develop self-confidence and a sense of personal autonomy. Therefore, we believe it is critical for parents to understand, support and encourage their students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them in the Career Center.
Go Warriors!
Our student-athletes have been busy on the field, in the classroom and in the community. A large number of Indiana Tech teams and athletes volunteered at the annual DSANI Buddy Walk in downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Residence Life hosts National Suicide Prevention Week
During this, National Suicide Prevention Week, which ends on Sept. 15, Residence
Life has staffed an information table during lunchtimes to provide suicide prevention resources and awareness ribbons, and information about the Indiana Tech/Parkview Health Student Assistance Program. We want to make sure students know what resources are available to them and to give them guidance if they know someone who may be considering suicide. Students were able to commemorate those they have lost to suicide with a memorial luminaria event at the end of the week.
The Indiana Tech/Parkview Health Student Assistance Program offers a variety
of short-term counseling and consultation services to address the needs of our students. All services are confidential and provided in a welcoming, comfortable setting. Students are able to meet one-on-one with a counselor to discuss a variety of problems including
(but not limited to) depression, anxiety, identity issues, anger, stress, relationship problems and substance abuse. Appointments and walk-ins are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with a short lunch midday. Office hours vary during holidays and semester breaks.
