CONHI MRHE Lab Event Hosts Prescreening:
The (M) Factor 2, Before the Pause - Perimenopause
|
The Maternal and Reproductive Health Equity (MRHE) Research Lab, established by Dr. Kyrah Brown, hosted a follow up to the successful 2023 screening of Birthing Justice with the recent official Texas premiere of "The (M) Factor 2: Before the Pause" Film Screening and Panel Discussion.
"I feel that the film was well received. I believe that a lot of people saw themselves and their own experiences in the film," said Brown. "Many women had questions about their own experiences and our panel was so amazing because they could answer from the perspective of specialized gynecological care, mental health, lived experience, and sexual health/wellness – all things that people have questions about."
Brown expressed her appreciation for support from the CONHI Department of Kinesiology and its public health programs, as well as the MRHE team, led by Rebecca Jackson, a graduating MPH student, and the event's sponsor, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
