Within our cancer and blood disorders program, our team of specialists and subspecialists work together and independently to treat kids and young adults facing a wide variety of serious conditions, all within a single health system.

Children’s Minnesota is expanding access to pediatric pain services
Children’s Minnesota is bringing expert pain care to more kids thanks to expanded access within the Pediatric Pain, Palliative Care and Integrated Medicine (PPCIM) Program.

With recent operational changes, the PPCIM Program can now see more patients and treat a wider variety of conditions. Patients you refer will now get in for appointments faster and experience shorter, more efficient visits. The operational changes are part of Children’s Minnesota’s redesign initiative, which includes efforts to improve efficiency and patient experience.

2021 Virtual Twin Cities Pediatrics Update
Building on the success of last year’s collaborative virtual conference between Children’s Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics, and the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MNAAP) and due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, we have once again made the decision to convert our typical two-day conference into a dynamic one-day virtual event. Register now!
There are certain people who "change the game" for all who come after them while impacting and influencing the world for the better. Trailblazers. To close out LGBTQ Pride month 2021, we introduce our first Talking Pediatrics Trailblazer episode, featuring Emmy award-winning reporter Jana Shortal. Listen to how Jana came to break the unspoken dress code for on-air reporters, inspiring others, including many kids and teenagers, to lean into their authentic identities and show up exactly as they are. Jana talks about being publicly bullied for her appearance, and how she stood up for herself and so many others, by refusing to back down. She shares stories about young people who have reached out to her and gives advice to pediatric clinicians about creating welcoming environments for all kids.
