The Boys Can Eat: Ristorante LIDI
This is a great little spot on Daniel Island. LIDI stands for Little Italy Daniel Island. So of course, it has a country Italian feel. It is nicely decorated with red and white checked tablecloths. On the dining side, the kitchen is an open concept, so you have a great view of the staff making up the plates. On the bar side, there are plenty of high tops and some outside seating. The atmosphere is very inviting. There are few fine dining places on Daniel Island, so this is a place to take visitors or go on date night. The Happy Hour menu is the best feature as they proclaim on the website. You can get anything from appetizer size bolognese, mussels to small pizzas. Three dollar glasses of wine are also a plus. Everything on the menu that we sampled was great, and the main courses are genuine Italian fare. The short ribs were above expectations and the Pesce de Giorno will not disappoint.
LIDI has a great location right on the corner of River Landing Drive and Island Park Drive making it easy to find as you drive right by it as you arrive on the island. Make a reservation, as it is very popular.
