Deadline for 2018 Flexible Spending AccountsEffective January 1, 2019, the claim runout period for both the Dependent Care and Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts will run through March 31. (Previously, the Dependent Care FSA claim runout period ran through January 31, while the Health Care FSA claim runout period ran through March 31.) You have until March 31, 2019 to submit Dependent Care and Health Care FSA claims incurred in 2018. Instructions on filing claims can be found by clicking here. Claims can also be filed via paper or fax using the generic claim form attached here.

Oakland University established a Team Award Program (TAP) to recognize a team of faculty and/or staff members for significant contributions supporting the University’s strategic plan initiatives or strengthening and improving the University’s effectiveness as a community/institution. How the Team Award Program Works
- On or before May 1, the nominator shall submit an online nomination form.
- Online forms are automatically submitted to the TAP Committee. The TAP Committee will review each nomination based on the Team Award Program criteria.
- In May, the TAP Committee will notify the nominators of the TAP Committee’s decision.

What is PACE?
PACE is the unit on campus that focuses on courses and programs for all aspects of adult learning, ranging from career advancement certificates and certifications to re-licensure or personal enrichment. While most of our ongoing programs focus on post-bachelor and customized programs for workforce development, PACE also provides preparatory programming for university entry such as GMAT, GRE and SAT. Youth Mental Health First AidYouth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8 hour training gives adults who work with youth (including college-age students) the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to adolescents (ages 12-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Meet Me at the Barre - Fitness EventWe are toning, sculpting, and staying hydrated with infused water at this one-day event in the O’Rena. Featuring a 50-minute total body workout using a series of low impact, isometric movements that are designed to make you feel the burn. This class is free, and open to all faculty, staff, and students.
When: March 29th (12:10 - 1:00 pm) Enter through the Rec Center with your Grizz ID, and proceed to the O’rena. Participants should wear barre socks or non-street tennis shoes.

American Heart Association Heart Walk 2019In collaboration with the American Heart Association, Oakland University is committed to making a positive impact surrounding the heart health of our university community. OU is an official partner for the 2019 Heart Walk, which will be held on Saturday, May 18, at Wayne State University. Our goal is to register 20 teams for a total of 300 participants. We aim to raise $10,000 to further support heart disease and stroke research.
Additionally, we are excited to reach our engagement goal of having 1,000 people go through Hands Only CPR training. Sign up by clicking here to learn life saving skills with a 20 minute, two step, hands only CPR training, a perfect addition to an already scheduled meeting. This presentation can be brought to almost any campus location.
