We're excited to kick off the Hoch Cunningham Environmental Lectures with Mary Mattingly, Visiting Artist with the Center for the Humanities at Tufts, this Thursday, September 12, at noon, in Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room. Lunch provided. 

Drawing on her work exploring public food access and the commons, Mary will discuss how Tufts’ campus landscape might be reimagined as a shared, living commons through agroforestry, edible plantings, and participatory stewardship. The talk will be livestreamed and recorded. Register here to view online.

All are welcome for a time of silent, spoken and musical reflection as we remember all those who died and who were deeply impacted by 9/11 and its aftermath. We will gather around the Patches of Peace Quilt, created 25 years ago by more than 80 Tufts student organizations, teams, and ensembles in the weeks following the 9/11 attacks. Following a short speaking program, attendees can help themselves to a boxed lunch for a community meal, picnic-style, on the quad.

JumboConnect is a peer-led program to help students meet new people, build community, and make friends. ⁠At each session, you'll have interesting, guided conversations (don't worry, you don't have to come up with what to talk about) and do some other activities (like sharing a photo or personal object) to help you connect quickly. About 85% of past participants say they'd recommend it to a friend, and four out of five say they'd hang out again with someone they met in the program.

Join the Jumbo Footprint Challenge. See how making small changes to your commute can result in big impact in reducing greenhouse emissions and decreasing car congestion on campus. It’s easy to participate:

Every 10 bike trips recorded is 1 entry for service to a local bike shop. Prizes will be drawn monthly for students and employees.

Join the Career Center on Thursday, September 10, 12 noon via Zoom to learn about the WRP Program, which works to assist neurodiverse students and students with disabilities in finding internships and full-time job opportunities with federal agencies across the United States.

Welcome to a new academic year!

As classes begin on September 8, check your classes in SIS to confirm your enrollment and that all pre-matriculation/transfer credits are on your transcript. Full-time students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits. 

Remember: The last day to ADD a class is Tuesday, September 15.

Check out the CMHS Group Therapy program for Fall 2026. CMHS groups are open to undergraduate and graduate students on the Medford-Somerville and SMFA campuses. There is no limit to the number of groups you can attend while enrolled at Tufts, and all groups are confidential. Groups are free for all full-time students as well as for part-time students who have paid the Health and Wellness fee.
