Georgia residents have a new way to compare healthcare costs.
Atlanta lost one of its own on Saturday when William Foege died at the age of 89. The longtime resident and renowned epidemiologist was instrumental in the eradication of smallpox, and served as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and executive director of The Carter Center. In 2012, his global health contributions earned him Georgia Tech’s Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage.
