ACLS 2024-25 Fellowship and Grant Competitions

Application deadlines vary by program. ACLS is now accepting applications for fellowship and grant programs with September, October, and early November deadlines. Other programs, including The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Program in Buddhist Studies, ACLS Digital Justice Grants, and the Luce/ACLS Program in China Studies, will begin accepting applications in the coming months.

Compliance Corner

Q: Am I required to complete a Conflict of Interest/Conflict of Commitment (COI/COC) Disclosure Form?

A: All "Investigators" on externally-sponsored funding applications and agreements administered by the GVSU Office of Sponsored Programs and the GVSU Technology Commercialization Office are required to submit a new COI/COC disclosure form at least annually, and within 30 days of any change. An "Investigator" is defined as "any person, regardless of title or position, who has independent responsibility for some aspect of the design, conduct, or reporting of research, scholarly, or educational activity." You may have $$$$ available for your Research and Creative Activities: F&A Cost Recovery

Have you ever wondered what the Facilities & Administration costs (or Indirects) on your grant or contract are? Did you know that as the Principal Investigator, you can recover 12.5% of that F&A for use on your research and creative activities? Starting August 1, you can check your balance in Workday (with the Sources and Uses of Funds Report - contact your grants accountant for assistance). If you're already familiar with this policy, another exciting update is that, thanks to the better functionality of Workday, GVSU has removed the $500 threshold for faculty to recover these costs.
