It's Laptop Time!
Keys to Learning!
Thanks to a generous grant from International Paper, we were able to purchase several HP laptops for both of our early childhood centers at Windy's Preschool at 429 Tattnall Street and at W.W. Law Early Learning Center at 909 E. Bolton Street.    Some of you may be wondering why laptops are so necessary for young children. Our child care centers use The Creative Curriculum, which is research based. The new laptops will allow teachers to assess children using the online Teaching Strategies tools which have 38 objectives that measure the ability of children to meet various developmental milestones. Teachers will also be able to connect to families more readily so that they can become more involved with their child's development.   Thank you again to International Paper for recognizing the importance of early childhood education in our community! If you are interested in enrolling your child,  or know someone who is, we do have some openings available. Call us at (912) 234-3431.   You may also call Windy's Preschool directly at (912) 234-0575 or W.W. Law at (912) 233-5230.

Bubbles and Pearls event

     Bubbles and Pearls

We had a wonderful time with our community at The Bubbles & Pearls fundraising event at The Drayton Hotel on Monday August 23, 2021, part of  the Savannah Seafood & Spirits Festival.  While final numbers are still pending, our silent and live auctions raised over $3,000 for our programs for children, including our emergency shelter, our two early childhood learning programs, and our Family Preservation program. A special thanks to The Drayton Hotel, International Diamond Center, Sea Oar Be Seen Boutique, all of our generous vendors  and our friends from The Savannah Seafood and Spirits Festival!   Below are some pictures from the event.
