🚧 Makerspace Training Site Refresh
| Scheduled Update for our Canvas Training Course |
The training course for the Makerspace Studio will be unavailable from Friday, June 27, through Tuesday, July 1. Times are in Central Standard Time (CST).
The Makerspace will still be open for in-person access on Monday June 30th and Tuesday July 1.

The FY2026 membership opens for enrollment and renewal on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Renewing Your Membership
When the training site is reopened, returning members will need to re-enroll in the course and complete the orientation module to reactivate their membership.
As long as you meet all eligibility requirements, your new membership will be valid through June 30, 2026.  Your other previously completed equipment training will be reapproved once you renew your membership.

| Course and Research Lab Forms
With the new fiscal year, course instructors and research PIs must complete the Course or Research Lab Use Authorization Form for their students to use Makerspace resources.

|
| 3D Printer Access
Currently approved members will also be moved to the [MEMBERSHIP EXPIRED] access group in 3DPrinterOS. Since Canvas and 3DPrinterOS do not automatically sync, when you submit a job to this queue, we will first confirm your FY26 membership and then restore your access to the studio printers to print your job.

3D Printing Updates
We are upgrading the Prusa MK4 printers to Prusa MK4S. We started this process last month, but starting with the new fiscal year on July 1, our remaining legacy MK4 printers will be converted over. These upgrades have increased flow and cooling, allowing us to print a bit faster, among other improvements. Check the updated 3D printing training on Canvas for more info.
Be sure to slice new print jobs for the MK4S printers!

We have also upgraded the Form 3 SLA resin printer to a new Form 4! You can once again submit resin print jobs to the Makerspace.
