This event offers winter crafts, scavenger hunts, board games, and sledding (if weather permits). Designed as self-guided activities, and it also may be led by a Park Interpreter. First Day Hikes are part of a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks to encourage people to get outdoors. On New Year’s Day, hundreds of free, guided hikes will be organized in all 50 states. Mount Greylock State Reservation is one of the locations. Meet at the Visitor Center, 30 Rockwell Road in Lanesborough. Pre-registration is recommended by December 30. More info
