   MLK JR. DAY
Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemorates the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrating his life and legacy in the fight for civil rights. As a driving force behind the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the 1963 March on Washington, King played a pivotal role in the passage of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act. His iconic “I Have a Dream” speech remains a cornerstone of American history.
UNT will be closed Monday, Jan. 20, to commemorate the holiday.

   EAGLE INSOMNIA
This could be you dancing at the DJ battle silent disco as UPC’s Eagle Insomnia takes over the University Union from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17. Don’t miss an exciting night of food, music, karaoke, winter-themed crafts and more!

Drone facility at UNT's Discovery Park
   SCRAPPY'S TRIVIA
Last week, we asked if you know how tall UNT’s Discovery Park drone test facility is. If you guessed 80 feet, you were correct! Standing at 80 feet tall, 120 feet long and 300 feet wide, the UNT Advanced Air Mobility facility is the largest of its kind in Texas and one of the biggest nationally.
Thank you to everyone who participated. Winners received an email with instructions on how to pick up their prize. Stay tuned for the next game!
UNT grads showing their class ring
   YOUR CLASS RING AWAITS!
If you’ve earned 60+ credit hours, you’re eligible to order your class ring and take part in UNT’s cherished traditions: The Ring Ceremony and Eagle Ring Dive. Order in person, through a virtual appointment or on the Jostens website. Representatives will be at the UNT Barnes & Noble bookstore throughout the semester to help you find your ring size and place an order.
To participate in the spring Ring Ceremony and Eagle Ring Dive on May 2, order and pay for your ring in full by Thursday, March 20. If your ring is on a payment plan, it won't be completed in time for the ceremony. Stay tuned for information on registering for these events.
