Dan O’Connor ’23 is a senior majoring in Journalism. In addition to being the Editor-in-Chief for The Setonian and a member of the award-winning Brownson Speech and Debate team, O’Connor recently completed an internship with Politico covering New Jersey state politics in Trenton. When asked about his time at Politico, O’Connor recalled “I was reporting inside and outside of the state house in Trenton, meeting legislators, lobbyists and even interviewing Governor Phil Murphy.”
|
O’Connor continued that Seton Hall was instrumental in developing his skills in journalism, “The experience further honed my reporting skills and made me realize that journalism was the path for me. My courses at Seton Hall and my work at The Setonian prepared me for this position. Work at Politico was a challenge, but I was able to directly apply skills I'd already used reporting on the Seton Hall community to New Jersey's political landscape.”
