TIPQC Welcomes New Maternal Medical Director

Welcome Dr. Connie Graves as the TIPQC Maternal Medical Director. Dr. Graves has been on the TIPQC Board since 2009, has worked tirelessly to improve maternal outcomes and has led multiple state projects. We are thrilled she will be leading our Cardiac Conditions in OB Care project as well!

Great thanks to Dr. Danielle Tate who served her 2 year term as our Maternal Medical Director with great inspiration and commitment.

Community Resource Council Kick Off!

In June, TIPQC launched the first three Regional Community Resource Council meetings. This council aims to gather the perspective and insight of community organizations across the state, and incorporate their voices in upcoming Quality Improvement projects. There is still time to join us for Johnson City (July 22nd) and Knoxville's (July 23rd) Community Resource Council.

MOC Approval for IVH Project

TIPQC was awarded Maintenance of Certification for the NICU IVH Project. Physicians participating in this project, and wanting to claim MOC contact Steven.Compton@TIPQC.org for additional details.

The BEST FOR ALL Joint Maternal and Infant project will work to build respectful patient care for pregnant and birthing people and their infants! Applications now being accepted.

PSI Training

Over 100 practitioners attended the two day Postpartum Support International (PSI) Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care Certificate of Completion Program and the 66 attended the PSI Perinatal Mental Health Advanced Psychotherapy Training on June 5-7 in Memphis with Dr. Julia Wood, Dr. Kristy Christopher-Holloway, and Birdie Meyers.

SUD in Pregnancy Screening & Medication Assisted Treatment Trainings

Emergency Department Cardiac Concerns in Obstetrics

TIPQC will be hosting five Emergency Department (ED) trainings for ED physicians and nurses from delivering and non-delivering hospitals across the state to offer education and resources for our upcoming Cardiac in Obstetrics Conditions (CCOC) project.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Wellness TIPQC Doula Continuing Education

This one hour event has a focus on maternal cardiac conditions. In addition to education surrounding this we will also be providing doulas with resources for their clients.

TIPQC Data Institute

Join TIPQC and TDH on August 29 at the Cool Springs Marriott in Franklin to learn about statewide Severe Maternal Mortality (SMM) as well as your local hospital's newly released SMM data. Join Assistant Commissioner Elizabeth Harvey, PhD as well as the TDH MHI and the TIPQC Team to learn how to utilize your hospital's data for improvement.
