Paid Contact Tracer Positions

Interested in a part-time position to help “bend the COVID curve” here in Utah?
In response to the global pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, the University of Utah is working with the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) to recruit individuals with a public health background and interested students to be a part of “bending the curve” in Utah.

The Division of Public Health has multiple paid positions available for contract tracers who will play an essential role in the COVID-19 pandemic response. Those selected for these roles will be trained by the University of Utah and follow current UDOH processes to trace and interview people infected with or exposed to SARS-CoV-2.
Check out the two positions here and here!
Final Exams and ProctorU
Since the switch to online courses last spring semester, some instructors are using ProctorU for their exams, which is an automated proctoring service for high-stakes tests. If you are unsure of whether ProctorU will be used for your final exams, we recommend you reach out to your instructors immediately to verify.
Prior to taking an exam using ProctorU, you must first sign up for an account and install the ProctorU extension to your Chrome browser. Because it can take up to 48 hours for new accounts to be approved, you should do this as soon as possible, well before your final exams, to ensure your test-taking experience is a smooth one. Remember, most instructors have strict policies within ProctorU for their exams, so unless they say so, close all other tabs, applications, and disable all other Chrome extensions.
If you need any assistance with ProctorU, we recommend reaching out directly to your instructor. If you have a more technical issue that your instructor is unsure of, feel free to reach out to classhelp@utah.edu.
If you need help studying for exams, consider using the U’s eTutoring service. Tutors are available to meet with students via video conferencing to work on a wide range of subjects, all free of charge!
