High school students are quick learners, are advanced in areas of technology and pick up new concepts at an impressive rate. Our students opt in to our program and are some of the brightest students at their schools. They are self-starters.
2. CLOSING THE GENDER AND RACIAL WEALTH GAP
Evidence shows that women and people of color are still only one in ten in each finance and economics college class. By hosting a high school intern, your company is not only getting ahead on your college candidate search; but, you are also making a difference in closing the gender and racial gaps in the financial services sector. Internships offer them an "if they see it, they can be it" experience. These are life-altering opportunities for many of our students; 73% of whom are BIPOC and 49.96% from low-income households.
