Running Mamas Race Training   
We are running the 13.1 Series 5K and 10K in Raleigh again this spring... please join us!
Join our close-knit and supportive training group and complete a 5K or 10K with us!
Local moms of any age or fitness level...

*Have you ever dreamed of making it through the finish line but don't know how to get started?
*Have you run in the past and would like to get back into it?
*Are you looking for some extra cardio and the motivation to stick with it?
*Are you an experienced runner looking to improve your race times or conquer a new distance? 
 
If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then this program is for you!
 
 
Running Mamas training program includes:

  • 8 or 10 weeks of coached training runs
  • Weekly training plan emails & guidance (1-3 additional runs/week completed on your own).  Training plans are tailored for your ability level -- absolute beginners are welcome for 5k training!
  • Personalized training plans for beginner, intermediate and advanced runners and one-on-one coaching throughout the program.   
  • Weekly educational "clinics" on topics like:  running form, nutrition, core workouts, strength training, injury prevention, increasing speed & distance, and choosing the right shoes.
  • Private online Facebook group for motivation and discussion with your fellow Running Mamas throughout the week.
  • Supportive atmosphere with other moms working towards a similar goal. 

Strollers are welcome (but optional) during our training runs.  
Dads are welcome too; please contact us about a discounted couples rate if Dad would like to participate in the program. 
5k Training - Total beginners are welcome! 

Dates: April 15 - June 3

Goal Race: Race 13.1 in Raleigh

Training Schedule:  Saturdays, 8:30AM,  Apex Community Park (aka 'Lake Pine'; 2200 Laura Duncan Rd). Participants will be encouraged to form running groups during the week to complete homework runs.

Sessions are designed to help you go from little to no running, to comfortably running a full 5k (3.1 miles), in 8 weeks.  Intermediate & advanced training is also available for experienced runners looking to improve their race time and set a PR (personal record) on race day.

Pricing:  $75 for 8 week program ($55 for active Stroller Strides members and Running Mamas alumni - use coupon code RMALUMNI).  Race fees additional.

10K Training
Dates:  April 1 - June 3
Goal Race:  Race 13.1 in Raleigh
Training schedule:  Saturdays, 8:30AMApex Community Park (aka 'Lake Pine'; 2200 Laura Duncan Rd).  Participants will be encouraged to form running groups during the week to complete homework runs.
Sessions are designed to help you go from running about 2-3 miles at a time, to running a full 10k, in 10 weeks.  Advanced training also available for experienced runners looking to improve their race time or set a PR on race day.
Pricing:  $85 for 10 week program ($65 for active Stroller Strides members and Running Mamas alumni - use coupon code RMALUMNI). Race fees additional.
