The National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued a notice ‘Reminder of Compliance Requirements for NIH Extramural Recipients Related to Renegotiated Aims, Objectives, Titles and Abstracts’ (NOT-OD-26-007). Recipients are advised to seek clarification from the Grants Management Official for questions before drawing down on the funds.
The NIH issued a notice ‘Updated Terms and Conditions of Award – Termination and Compliance with Court Orders’ (NOT-OD-26-009). Effective October 1, 2025, the following terms, ‘This award is subject to the termination provisions at 2 CFR 200.340.’ will be included in all NIH Notices of Award.
The NIH issued a notice ‘Updated Guidance on Reopening of NIH Extramural Activities Following the October 1, 2025 – Lapse In Appropriations’ (NOT-OD-26-012), providing information on how NIH is resuming operations.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) also issued a brief notice informing the research community that the agency is ‘operating under a continuing resolution that runs until January 30, 2026’ and is prioritizing making awards, and managing and overseeing existing awards. NSF awardees are encouraged to contact their program officer with any questions.
