Joe Allen, executive director of the Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District (GPCID), was honored with the Public Service Award last Friday, February 6, during the Gwinnett Chamber’s 77th Annual Dinner at the Gas South District. The evening celebrated the outstanding contributions of individuals pivotal to the prosperity of Gwinnett County and recognized exceptional achievements in the community.

Allen was awarded the Public Service Award (PSA) presented to well-respected individuals based on their service to other people, objectives and the Gwinnett community as a whole, above and beyond excellence in one’s own profession, business, service or enterprise. Allen was one of five recipients honored at the event.

Joe was accompanied by his daughter, Stephanie and son-in-law, Michael, in addition to GPCID board members, Trey Ragsdale III, Jill Edwards and June Lee.

Santa Fe Mall is the first business in the district to participate in the Gwinnett Safe Communities program with the Gwinnett County Police Department.
