• The Center for Career Development (CCD) co-organized a visit to
S-Tron Shanghai 2025, led by Campus Ambassador Karimjon Olimjonov '28. Thousands of participants showed up to check out exhibits by more than 100 visionary companies and a series of high-impact forums, including one on next generation voice interaction interfaces featuring Professor of the Practice in Computer Science

NYU Shanghai at S-Tron Shanghai 2025.
• Fifty-five students joined this year’s One in 24 Film Race, the annual 24-hour filmmaking challenge hosted by the 24 Frames Club. A public screening on September 18 featured ten original student films, drawing 123 audience members. Top honors went to In Passing (Wang Jingjing ’26, Tang Ziqi ’26) and Absolution (Daniel Woc ’26, Eddy Ji ’26, Nigel Dai ’26, Amelie Woc ’28, Lucy Lu ’28, Hakob Khachikyan ’28), which tied for Best Film of the Year. In Passing also won Best Screenplay, while Absolution secured the Audience Choice Award. The Contract (Jason Liu ’26, Evan Pan ’26, Amira Jaques ’26, Rudraksha Bukhanwala ’26) won the Audience Choice Award, with Jason Liu winning for Best Directing. Neither Here nor There (Anastasia Slyusar ’28, Sagrario Chan ’28, Gabriel Fernandes ’28, Junelle Belchere ’28, Isabella Martinez ’28, Haider Ali Awan ’28) earned Best Creativity Award. DisConnected (Tushig Bataa ’26, Enni Erdenebat ’26, Ermune Munkhbayar ’28, Jargalkhan Ganbold ’28, Azjargal Mergenbayar ’28) won Audience Choice Award, and Tushig Bataa was awarded with Best Performance.
