Good afternoon everyone,
As many of you know, we opened as advertised this past Saturday and had a great opening weekend! We were without the F-10 carpet on opening day, but with cold temps on Sunday our snowmaking team was able to blow enough snow to now provide us with some beginnner terrain. Currently, we are skiing/riding top to bottom on Upper World Cup/Chute/Lower Chief as well as Sapphire/103/Upper Arrow. Open chairlifts include B-Quad, Sunburst, Evergreen, and F-10 carpet. Temps have been cooperative the past few days and we are currently making snow on Upper Tomahawk/Heavens Gate/Scream Demon and Jolly Green. Our hope is to have this additional terrain and the Solitude chairlift open by Friday.
Our SRS business was light for opening weekend, but we will see a fairly big increase in guest demand this coming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If you are not on the schedule and would like to work, please contact your manager.
Remember to take it slow your first few days of the year. It's firm and fast out there, with early season conditions.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon,
Steve

Now that the season has officially started, its long past time to take your seasonal equipment inventory. Please make sure you have all of your ski/ride equipment set for the season and ready to pass our mountain safety inspection.
Also, please make sure you have your nametag and uniform kit ready to go for the season.
If you are missing any of the above, please email okemoskischoolstaff@vailresorts.com explaining what you need.

The start of a new season, means there must be mandatory LIFT training videos for all staff to complete before their first day of work. You should have complete access to these videos, so if you do not please reach out to your manager ASAP.
And remember, because you get paid for completing any LIFT training, make sure to fill out a timecard telling us exactly how long it took you to complete them. Use this link.

For this season, we have created a time card link that will autofill your name, employee number, and email. Simply, use this link on your mobile device or computer, which will take you through your Epic Employee Profile to autofill these details. If you want more information, head to okemosnowpros.com for more detailed directions.
You can set a bookmark directly on your home screen next to all of your apps. Once you have the link above open: in Safari, click on the share button (square with arrow) and select "save to home screen."
Please do not bookmark the smartsheet page on your device, as this will cause your timesheet to auto populate the date you bookmarked it rather than the current date. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to to access your timecard through the Okemo Ski and Ride School App shown below.

New this year we now have a smartphone app for the Ski and Ride School! Simply, click here to download it and then follow the steps to add it to your home screen.

Ski School for Dependents |
This season we are extending our dependent childcare discount to ski school. You can now sign up your 5 and 6 years old dependents for $40 a day. Please be advised this may not be available during peak holiday times.
Please call the Okemo Call Center at: (802) 228-1176 with any inquiries.
|
Private Lesson Phone Line |
Thanks to our close collaboration with PSS, there will now be a dedicated phone number to assist guests who have questions about an existing private lesson request and/or who are having issues booking privates online. The number is: (802) 228-1600.
We can now transfer our guests from the x1600 number directly to the Okemo call center, so guests can speak with staff that are directly knowledgeable about Okemo private lessons.
