With gratitude and best wishes to Susan Zieman, MD
Dr. Sue Zieman recently retired from her longtime role as Medical Officer in the NIA Division of Geriatrics and Clinical Gerontology. While this was Sue’s difficult decision given her ongoing passion to continue her work, managing her responsibilities became challenging due to her increasing health limitations. She will be greatly missed by the Clin-STAR community, and the many academic and medical society circles she’s participated in during her inspiring career in cardiology, geriatrics, and aging research.
Sue’s passion and commitment for subspecialty clinicians pursuing aging research has been central to the inspiring success of the NIA GEMSSTAR program and in spearheading the concept for the Clin-STAR program. Despite her retirement from NIA, Sue’s heart will remain in the field and she hopes to find other ways to continue to contribute to transdisciplinary aging research.
We welcome you to share a message and/or photos for Sue on this digital “kudoboard” by March 10th to be printed as a token of our collective appreciation and best wishes for Sue.
Please share with colleagues!
