The Project Team is wrapping up Playback sessions with Workday. These sessions give the Workstream owners a first look at the platform configuration layout and an opportunity to provide feedback on functionality. The sessions cover FDM (Foundation Data Model) areas such as accounts payable, budget and procurement, as well as HCM (Human Capital Management) areas such as payroll, benefits and compensation.
This is a key step in the implementation process as it allows Workstream owners to help ensure the system is tailored to UNF’s requirements.

The project team has begun learning about and structuring security roles. Role-based security is a critical part of the Workday implementation, as it helps to ensure that employees only have access to the data and tasks required by their position.

Currently UNF does not have an individualized organizational chart. With Workday, all employees can access a navigable organizational chart depicting UNF roles. It will provide employees with a valuable tool for understanding the reporting structure and workflow processes, and it will help to ensure that decisions are made in a timely and efficient manner. For example, the new Organizational Chart aids in determining where a timesheet approval routes in the event that an employee moves to a new position on campus.
