Maddy G. (left), RTSWS Student CEO at Baruch College Campus High School, recently had her article highlighting RTSWS published in her school's newspaper.
In the article, she writes about her experience as a RTSWS Student CEO and the positive impact the cohort has had at her school. Check out this excerpt from her article below:
“I have been a member of RTSWS since ninth grade, and have been proud to serve as the 2021-2022 Student CEO for Baruch along with Sally. Even though most of our sessions this year were virtual, we were truly able to foster a community feeling through our activities and engagement. Our members showed up each week excited and ready to learn, and this made the experience productive and valuable. We were so thankful for Ms. Benowitz’s help in coordinating with the RTSWS organization, launching our zoom sessions, and sending emails to the group. Baruch’s program was run by female financial professionals from Broadridge, and the information and knowledge they shared with us was invaluable.”

"During the spring sessions, members were paired with Broadridge mentors in a small group setting. I really enjoyed getting to know my two mentors, who are experienced and enthusiastic financial professionals. I appreciated the time they devoted to the program, on a completely volunteer basis. This semester, we participated in activities focused on resume writing, interview skills, self-advocating, building a LinkedIn profile, and expanding our networks. The small group format was extremely beneficial, in that it allowed us to focus on our interests and made it easier to ask questions. Thanks to the comments of my mentors, my resume is now in great shape if I want to use it during the college application process."
