Kiwanis Rodeo

CLARKSVILLE – Three nights of exciting PRCA Pro rodeo are scheduled for May 15-17 at the Montgomery County 4H Arena.
Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Clarksville, the proceeds go to benefit children in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area. Among the major projects annually is the Reading Rodeo which provides books and a program with the author. This year over 3,300 third graders attended the event at F&M Bank Arena.
The seven nightly events include Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping. Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Barrell Racing and Bull Riding.
In between events, clown and barrel man Trent McFarland and trick riding Cowgirl Sophie Duch will provide the entertainment. Both are acclaimed nationally on the PRCA circuit.
“We expect another wonderful three nights of professional rodeo,” Rodeo Chairman Larry Schmidt said. “I would encourage our guests to purchase tickets and arrive early.”
The first event nightly is the Miracle Rodeo at 5:30. This is for special needs students and is sponsored nightly by CDE (Clarksville Department of Electricity), Camp Rainbow (Friday) and CADS (Saturday).
Attendees can also enjoy a petting zoo, a bounce house and plenty of concessions.
Guests are advised to purchase tickets in advance since the Rodeo will sell out. The gates will open nightly at 5:30 and the Rodeo is 7:30. Adults are $25 and children (12-and-under) and can be purchased at clarksvillerodeo.com.
The 4H Arena is located at 1920 Rossview Road, east of Exit 8 on I-24.
For more information contact Brandon Bridges at 931-206-6686.
