Our Keynote speaker will be Dr. Bettina Love, co-founder of the Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN) who the Kennedy Center named as one of The Next 50 Leaders making the world more inspired, inclusive, and compassionate. Dr. Love is the William F. Russell Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the bestselling author of We Want to Do More than Survive.

We will honor the lives lost, including those of three former NJCU faculty, reflect on that fateful day, and join together as a community in a moment of silence. September 11 is a National Day of Service and Remembrance. We hope you can join us.

Curated by Atim Annette Oton of Calabar Gallery, the exhibition explores wide-ranging art making processes, distinctive cultural roots, issues of language, and identity in Latin American art. From installation, painting to photography, this two-gallery exhibition presents the multiplicity of artistic voices from 20 emerging and established artists from the Jersey City and New York Metropolitan area.
Artists in the exhibition are: Alexandra Alvarez, Ray Arcadio, Natali Bravo-Barbee, Vanezza Cruz, Giannina Gutierrez, Jacqueline Herranz-Brooks, Tenjin Ikeda, Sonia Lerebours, Kandy G. Lopez, Maria Lupiañez, Cesar Melgar, Katherine Miranda, Josué Morales Urbina, Felix Morelo, Dayani Munoz, Estrella Munoz, Slyvia Padillia, Ann Tirado, Melissa Ulto and João (Juno) Zago.
