Meet Brett Mauser
Director of Communications, School of Dental Medicine

As a native New Hampshirite with a lifelong passion for sports and a love for the Boston Red Sox, Brett Mauser never dreamt he’d relocate to New York or work in higher education. His only experience with dentistry was as a patient before he joined the staff at Stony Brook’s School of Dental Medicine.

For the second consecutive year, Stony Brook University Hospital CEO Carol Gomes, MS, FACHE, CPHQ, has been named to the Long Island Press Power List. The honorees selected make up the region’s most influential leaders in business, politics, education, philanthropy and healthcare.

Recognized for their significant impact on their communities and industry, the honorees were celebrated during the 20th annual Long Island Press Power List event on June 29.
Participate in CommUniversity Day 2023
Showcasing the many facets of the Stony Brook University community through hands-on, interactive activities, fun entertainment and thought-provoking mini-talks, CommUniversity Day will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23, on the Academic Mall, Stony Brook University, from noon to 4 pm.

The day will feature concentrated areas for Health, Technology & Discovery, Traditions, Arts and Safety, as well as poster presentations given by students and student performances by the fountain. The event closes with remarks by Stony Brook University President Maurie McInnis, a free ice cream social and a rubber duck race down the brook. Admission is free and open to all ages.
