National Tournament Registration: Sunday, June 14An adult representative from each school participating in the National Tournament should plan to attend tournament registration on Sunday, June 14. This adult must have Tabroom.com account access at a registered school to access a registration room! To check that the person registering your school has the necessary permissions, log in to your Tabroom.com account, click your school name under Institutions, and check the Access tab. You can add a new coach by entering the email associated with their Tabroom.com account and clicking Save!
You'll be emailed a link to your registration room and time window prior to registration.

Sign up for a National Tournament Team Practice TimeEach team can sign up for one team practice time where your students and judges can get comfortable using video in our National Tournament competition system! Please note all times are CT. This is your time to practice entering a competition room at competition.speechanddebate.org, determining your ideal setup for video framing, testing sound and equipment, and communicating with a partner. When one representative from your school signs up, we will follow up with access instructions and your school practice code to sign in. This signup is different than the speech recording window for Nationals, which is open to students at competition.speechanddebate.org.

Closing Soon: Supplemental Speech Recording WindowThe recording window to upload and submit supplemental speech performances closes Thursday, June 4. There will be no formal re-registration for supplemental speech events; by uploading a recording, the student confirms their participation. If a student has not submitted their recording by the deadline, we will drop that entry from that event and the pre-registration fee will not be refunded. The recording and submission process follows the same process as main event speech.
Judging will not be live! Your judges can log in to Tabroom.com between June 8 and June 12 to find their assigned rounds and ballots and watch rounds at competition.speechanddebate.org at their leisure. We will notify them directly when the judging window opens!

Extemp Debate ProceduresExtemp Debate will begin after preliminary rounds of debate and will be held with live judging and live debates. Competitors will be guaranteed four preset rounds on Thursday, June 18. Students must have pre-registered prior to the tournament, and if they have not moved on in the main event competition by the time Extemp Debate begins, they can re-register. This would allow House students who do not make semifinals, Senate students who do not make finals, World Schools Debate students who did not make semifinals, and main event debate students who do not make round 11 to re-register for Extemp Debate. Main event speech (HI, DI, DUO, POI, OO, INF, USX, IX) competitors are not able to compete in Extemp Debate. Re-registration will be open all day Wednesday, June 17, and be conducted online through Tabroom.com. More info »
