DTP Convenes Quarterly Board Meeting

The DTP Board of Directors met last week at the Pima County Historic Courthouse. Board Members received a presentation from the City of Tucson's Project Manager, Collin Chesston, on the upcoming Stone Avenue Complete Street project, a CEO Report and DTP committee updates. View the recap here.

Prohibición: Downtown's Newest Speakeasy

A couple of months ago, we welcomed the Grand Opening of Sonora Moonshine Co., a new restaurant and bar featuring Sonora cuisine and agave cocktails. This Friday and Saturday, come downtown for the exciting grand opening of the underground speakeasy, Prohibición while Salvador Duran will be playing live music both nights. Si Charro Cinco de Summer

Seven-Story Senior Housing Development Underway

West Point II Apartments, a new seven-story affordable housing building, is under construction at 20 E. Ochoa Street. Set to be completed by late spring or early summer 2025, the complex will feature 85 one-bedroom units for seniors, including those with disabilities, along with amenities like a gym, meeting rooms, and lounge spaces. La Frontera Arizona is developing the project with funding from CVS Health and Red Stone Equity Partners. Read more in this Arizona Daily Star article here.

Monsoon Literacy Celebration

Join the Fox Tucson Theatre on Saturday, June 22 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. for the Monsoon Literacy Celebration! Immerse yourself in the world of reading with the animated shorts “The Smeds and the Smoos” and “Hair Love”, sing-alongs led by the Desert Museum, mascot photo ops, free book giveaways, and more! While this event is free, be sure to sign up here to reserve your spot. This event received support from the Downtown Tucson For Everyone grant program, sponsored by HSL Properties and the DTP.
