|
We are excited to announce that the Door County 4-H Dog Club (exact name is yet to be voted on by members) is the newest 4-H Club in Door County! While there are still some logistics that need to be worked out, the 4-H Dog Club held their first official meeting on February 25th. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25th at 6:30 pm at the Forestville Town Hall. They will be electing officers and deciding on an official Club name at this meeting.
The 4-H Dog Club will be walking in the Sturgeon Bay St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 15th. Be sure to come out and support them! 4-H Dog Club members who are interested in walking should contact the 4-H Dog Club Leader, Amy Moreaux, at amy.dubois@hotmail.com.
Door County 4-H Dog Training dates for the Summer have not yet been set. Be sure to watch for additional information to come on this!

The 2025 Door County Fair will be Wednesday, August 13th - Sunday, August 17th. Planning is already underway and we cannot wait for Fair to arrive!
Premium Books: Updates are currently being finalized and the 2025 Door County Fair Premium Books will be available in April.
Judging Schedule: There will be some changes/updates to the 2025 Door County Fair Judging Schedule. Watch for the schedule to come soon!
FairEntry: We are hoping to open FairEntry for Fair registrations in April (earlier this year!). Watch for information on how to enter and deadlines to come soon.
Door County Quality Market Animal Sale (QMAS): There are several important dates and requirements that must be completed to participate in the QMAS Auction during the Fair. Check out their website: https://www.dcqmas.org/ for additional information.
IMPORTANT: Premise ID Registration and Renewal: If you are planning to exhibit animals at the Fair, be sure that you have a Premise ID. This is REQUIRED for all exhibitors of beef, dairy, sheep, swine, horse, poultry and goats.
A Premise ID is completely free to obtain and is mandatory for all owners of livestock in Wisconsin. Premises registration allows for much faster traces when there is an outbreak of an animal disease or an animal-borne human disease.
Take care of this important step now so you are ready at Fair time! If you already have a Premise ID, check to make sure that it does not need to be renewed this year.
Visit https://wiid.org/premises-registration-renewal/ to obtain a Premise ID and for answers to additional questions.
