IN MEMORIAM
Bearg Jehanian
The Prelate and Executive Council received with sorrow the news of the passing of Bearg Jehanian, a faithful member of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Philadelphia, on Wednesday, June 17. Mr. Jehanian was 87 years old. His immediate survivors include his son, Bearj, and daughters Karen and Armena; brother-in-law Aram (Marjorie) Terzian and nephews and nieces. His wife Lucille predeceased him in 2007.
Mr. Jehanian and his family were life-long members and supporters of St. Gregory Church, and their children became active parishioners. His daughter Karen served several terms on the Executive Council of the Eastern Prelacy, and earlier this month the National Representative Assembly elected her to again serve on the Council.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, June 20, at 10 am at St. Gregory the Illuminator Church, 8701 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia. Funeral services will be officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate, His Grace Bishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Vicar General, and Archpriest Fr. Vazken Bekiarian, at 11 am. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
