At Ball State University, our mission is education—and our focus is you. Our University has received funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide students with direct emergency assistance. We made an offer to you, and as of the date of this notification, it appears you have yet to complete the process. You must do this by Monday, June 8, 2020, or risk losing the assistance.
To receive the grant, you will need to complete an online certification form verifying that you incurred additional “expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus,” per federal guidelines. The form is simple; it should take only a minute for you to complete.
Once we confirm that you are eligible, you will receive funds within a few days of acceptance. To avoid a delay in receiving your funds, be sure to sign up for direct deposit (if you have not already done so) by registering your banking information at bsu.edu/accountspayable.
We are committed to your success and your wellbeing. If you face other financial hardships due to COVID-19, please contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at finaid@bsu.edu. Our staff will talk with you about whether you qualify for additional financial support.
