» Just Out Of Beach: If you went to Kenny Chesney's website Thursday morning (7/17) at 7:06am to get a wristband for his free concert Aug. 16 at the Flora-Bama border bar, you were out of luck. In less than five minutes, the passes granting access to the fenced-in beach area were gone. Even Wednesday's (7/16) concert announcement caused such a high volume of traffic that it temporarily shut down his website. "Maybe the fans are as hungry to see me as I am them," surmised Chesney. "Getting out on that beach to play is gonna be awesome."

» The Windy Diddy: Garth Brooks will open his comeback world tour at Allstate Arena in Chicago Sept. 4 with Trisha Yearwood. Tickets go on sale next Friday (7/25) at 10am through Ticketmaster with a limit of six per person at $65.50 each. The news came Monday (7/14) when "Andy From Atlanta" (the fan whom Garth gave the news to first) shared it with the help of kids at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. No word yet on additional dates.

» Sundown Serenade: During his July 15 concert in Atlanta on the Sundown Heaven Town Tour, Tim McGraw dedicated Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful" to his wife Faith Hill and their daughters. But midway through the acoustic performance, the song took on a different meaning when a young fan with Down Syndrome sat beside him onstage. McGraw sang directly to her and, when he finished, hugged her, signed his guitar and gave it to her. Watch here.

» Nailed It: David Nail was named Co-MVP, along with rapper Nelly, during the 2014 Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, which aired Monday night (7/14) on ESPN as part of MLB's All-Star Week. This was Nail's third time playing in the game. "It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life," he says. "To be awarded co-MVP alongside Nelly, a fellow Missourian and Cardinal fan, was surreal. I don't think I’ll ever bat eighth again."

» CMT For Dew: CMT and Mountain Dew will launch the Mountain Dew CMT Summer Concert Series, featuring performances from Dierks Bentley, Kip Moore, David Nail and Chris Young. The four-part series debuts on CMT Hot 20 Countdown July 19 with CMT On Tour headliner Moore. Nail's performance airs July 26, Young runs Aug. 9 and Bentley Sept. 6. Each episode includes interview and performance footage.

» A Night For Nikki: Jamey Johnson, Shooter Jennings and Jessi Colter hosted a tribute to the late Waylon Jennings and Hank Cochran at Nashville's Marathon Music Works July 9 that raised more than $70,000 for The Nikki Mitchell Foundation, which supports pancreatic cancer research. Mitchell (Waylon Jennings' manager of 22 years) and Cochran both died of pancreatic cancer. Other artists at the tribute included Jerrod Niemann, Chris Stapleton, Josh Abbott, Julie Roberts and Carter's Chord. The foundation has also established The Full Moon Full Life Songwriting Contest and is now accepting entries here.

» Crib Note: Congratulations to Justin Moore and his wife Kate on the birth of their third daughter Monday (7/14). "We're very excited to welcome Rebecca Klein Moore into the world," the couple told people.com. "Both Mom and Klein are healthy." She joins big sisters Ella Kole and Kennedy Faye.
