Wear Green May 6 for Children's Mental Health Acceptance Week

On Friday, May 6, the campus community is encouraged to wear green in support of Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week. Green is the color chosen to raise public awareness, improve the lives of children with serious emotional disorders, and show support of these children and their families. Join the Center for Youth Advocacy and Well-Being at 10:30 am in front of the Crowe Building, 874 Union Ave., for a group photo to show your support!

| May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

To commemorate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the Office of Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity will host a speaking event titled: “The Tool Kit for Spreading Eracism (End Racism) Like A Virus,” featuring UTHSC Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry Dr. Kenneth M. Sakauye, Wednesday, May 18, from noon to 1 pm, in Freeman Auditorium.

Tennessee Election Forum Coming to UTHSC
|
|
|
The UT System has partnered with the USA TODAY Network Tennessee to host six forums across the state for the 2022 election. Democrat and Republican candidates for Governor and Congress have been invited to participate. A forum at UTHSC is set for June 16, from 7–8:30 pm CDT, in the Schreier Auditorium of the Student-Alumni Center. Gubernatorial candidates and congressional candidates for District 9 have been invited to participate. Admission is free, but tickets are required, and space is limited.
