ANNOUNCEMENTS & REMINDERS
Order Your T-Shirts » It's not too late to pre-order your #Nats17 shirts! High school and middle school tournament attendees can choose from one of two popular styles. Reserve yours for pick up in Birmingham, Alabama, and see all of the other great items available by visiting the online Speech & Debate Store. The deadline to order shirts is Friday, May 26
Transportation Reminder » There is no transportation provided between hotels and competition venues. All competitors and coaches are responsible for meeting their own transportation needs throughout the tournament. 
Diamond Awards and Four-Time Qualifiers » We're mixing up the Thursday schedule this year! Coaches receiving their first or second Diamond award and students who are four-time qualifiers will be recognized on stage BEFORE the Donus D. Roberts Diamond Assembly on Thursday, June 22. If this applies to you, you'll receive an email with more info soon! 
Judge Obligations » All judges must be available for rounds Monday through Thursday, including main event AND supplemental / consolation rounds. Please be sure to tell your judges that they may be judging a variety of events at Nationals and to prepare accordingly. Links to our competition events guides and other helpful resources are available under the judging resources filter of our website.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURNAMENT NEWS
Middle School Coach of the Year » We are proud to recognize C. Ryan Joyce as the 2017 Middle School Coach of the Year! Mr. Joyce is a speech and debate alum of Iona Prep in New York and is currently the Director of Advancement and a Middle School Speech and Debate Coach at Phoenix Country Day School in Arizona. 
Middle School Chamber Assignments » Middle School Chamber Assignments will be released on Monday, May 22! Changes to your Congress entry should be made as soon as possible so the chambers are accurate upon release.
Middle School Wait-Lists » We are still processing entries off of the wait-list! If you would like to add either new students or additional events, email lauren.burdt@speechanddebate.org. Limited space is available.

Speech Camp Scholarship Fund » We're excited to announce a new partnership with the Forensics Institute Scholarship Fund. This program is designed to help accepted students with a demonstrated financial need pay tuition at three excellent summer programs!
